MAKING DREAMS REAL
My husband and I had a really interesting conversation the other day… (for interesting, read: annoying)
I was busy in my own beautiful world, writing letters from my future self (as you do) about what our lives looked like 1, 5 and 10 years from now.
I was ALL IN on this dreamy project (one of my faves for manifesting good sh*t) and was so buzzed from doing it that I decided to share with him.
His response was INADEQUATE. I couldn't believe it!! How could he not be so excited as I was about the amazing future I had created for us all?!
WHAT A REALISATION!
I was SO pissed off. I felt like he wasn't supporting my dreams, and didn't have a clear vision for the future like I did. It felt like he didn't feel excited about it.
BUT this is the DIFFERENCE between he and I. When I probed further, he said, “you like to look forward and think ahead, but looking forward makes me feel a bit anxious”. This blew my mind.
Isn't it funny? We've been married for 8 years, together for 10, and I never realised that my way of thinking about the future was SO different to his.
THE LESSON?
He doesn't have to be the SAME as me in this. And quite frankly, with the amount of energy and vision that I do have, I'm pretty happy to just carry him along on my trajectory!
My dreams include HIS joy and feelings of ease in his work life, OUR family life and OUR kids growing into happy healthy humans, just BEING.
And then of course my own dreams around making the world a more joyful, connected place, running retreats, emancipating and empowering women, smashing the patriarchy and expanding into the full expression of MYSELF!
ANYWAYYYYYYYYYY
I decided then, to create a space for some similarly minded/focussed women, who WANT to put their energy into making their dreams a reality!
And so I'm running my VISION BOARD WORKSHOP!
I do these often on retreat, and they are SUCH a great exercise in getting super clear on what you really WANT, how you want to FEEL, what you want your life to look like, and in so doing, you realise what your next right steps are, to make that sh*t happen!
Every single time I've made a vision board, it has come true! The only limit is your imagination!
