Well, first of all the entirety of this auspicious time in astrology actually spans from 28th July to 12th August, having its “peak” as it were, on 8th August.

The Egyptians thought of it as another opportunity to observe the enrgy of a new year, a space to offer reflection on the past, and resolutions for the future.

It coincided annually with when the Nile would flood, bringing lushness and fertility to the land.

So there’s history for sure.

But, as always, the Egyptians knew more than just a thing or two.

The Lion’s Gate Portal is actually also an annual cosmic occurrence where the sun in Leo aligns with three important celestial markers: the star Sirius, the Earth, and Orion’s Belt.

Sirius, also known as the Dog Star, is astrologically considered to represent the Spiritual Sun.

It brings wealth abundance, fortune and fame (“fortune & glory, kid, fortune & glory”)

But the peak of this portal has been claimed now as the 8/8, due to numerology and astrology combining to create and birth this super fertile, abundant energy.

And obvs 8/8 is the most powerful combination in numerology

So in all, these two weeks are full of heightened energy for spiritual growth...
